Content Server Cache access decisions

Hi Community.

I've got these questions about SAP Content Server that I'm looking to find input on.

1) I assume we can use a load balancer in front of the Apache web servers that run the content and cache server modules. If I can, is the way to create HA for the content server instances just to round-robin the http requests over multiple content server instances? What other solutions/option if not that?

2) How is the decision made to go to a cache server?

3) If we use a load balancer, do we need any special configuration to make it go to either content server or cache server first? (e.g. a more biased round-robin?)

4) Does anyone have any example rules for a load balancer for a set up where there are more than one content or cache server in a deployment?

5) What happens if a content server setup is hosted at a cloud provider and there is at least one cache server on-premise? How does one configure the web access for this?

Finally, I am looking through a lot of SAP provided material, but I've yet to encounter some architecture/deployment guidance on a set up where content server is on Linux/MaxDB with multiple instances for redundancy. Does anyone have any architecture examples for this?

Thanks in advance for any guidance.
