We are trying to archive documents(employee documents which are managed by HR personnel) which come from SAP application into Livelink ECM Archive Server 9.6.1 and the documents are being archived and retrieved successfully.
In order to achieve the retention handling for the documents in such a way that archived documents will get deleted from the archive server after 7 years when the employee leave the organization,i.e retention period is unknown at the time of archiving so i have enabled the "Event based retention" for the logical archive(repository) where the documents get archived in the Archive Server, but have problems on deleting documents in the Archive Server when the retention date expired.
According to the OpenText documents (administration guide), The leading application (SAP) must send the retention information after the archiving request.When the retention information arrives, the retention period is calculated by adding the given period to the event date.
BUT I don't have any idea how SAP application sends (or triggers) the request (along with retention period) to the archive server? Do we need to have the additional configuration either in SAP or Archive Server?
Can anyone help on this?
