I want to set an external file server to store documents via the archive link. I set up an RFC connection, and configured in a content repository IMG OAC0 type RFC for Archive link. But do not get it to work. When I try to attach a document Archive link shows me an error message: No OA721 "AP ArchiveLink (storage system message: Storing not possible) "

I recently configured archive link and migrated all the HR and AP/AR documents from documentum to content server. The extension of the documents has been manually changed to TIFF in TOA01 table for AP/AR documents and they are opening with windows photo viewer properly, but the issue is with HR documents.
In toahr table, In spite of changing the extension of HR doc from FAX to TIFF, it is still opening as ALF in windows photo viewer. Is there any config that I need to do here? I configured the doc types as * in OAC2
NOTE: The reason for changing the extension to TIFF is 'with wndows photo viewer, the ALF or FAX type docs cannot be printed, which is only possible with ext TIFF.'

I try to develop a java client application which communicate with an SAP content server with security mode activated.
I have successfully put my own certificate without error on the Content server but when I try to create a document on it after creating a secKey, I have the following error : SSFVerify failed: rc=12, lasterror=18 ...
I don't know how I could debug it.
For example,
- is there a problem with my message to sign?
- Is there a problem with my pkcs7 compute?
- Is there a configuration problem on the content server?
I wonder if you would be able to give me some help about this problem.

CV04N is great for searching for documents in SAP DMS. The problem is when you want to search for a specific version of a document using a long list of document numbers and versions. Yes it is possible to paste a list of document numbers and version numbers into CV04N, but the problem is that all versions in the version list are used as search criteria for each document in the document list. What I want is for CV04N to search for the first document in the document list (eg. 123) along with the first version in the version list (eg 01). The second document in the list (eg. 457) I'd like to use the second version (eg 05) in the list as the search criteria, etc, etc.
Is there a way to do this with standard CV04N? Is there customization available?

Greetings, I have a requirement to archive the non SAP documents like E-mail, scanned document and scanned images using the open text.
This is something new for me and as well as for my customer.
At this moment the current system is completely manual the letters or emails (both inbound and outbound) are stored in paper based system. They want to change this system by using the open text.
Scenario may be like this for a business partner there will be lot of Inbound and Outbound communications happening, all these communications should be stored in Open text (or equivalent storage using Open text) and the link should be stored against the business partner.
I have few questions regarding this.
1. Which team will take care of the integration of Open text with SAP?
2. Once the Open text is integrated with SAP how can I archive the non SAP documents through Open text? (Just an overview or Step by Step procedure will help me)

In Folder Management (Records Management), in the trx. Organizer it is possible to search for certain elements (service providers). When right-clicking in the Organizer on a service provider (eg. SRM_SPS_DOCUMENT), the "find" option is shown in the context menu.
After clicking this "find" option, a search popup is show with several search fields (eg. description, unique ID). And also a field for restricting the maximum number of hits is shown ("Restrict Hits to"). The default number in this field is always 200.
Is there a way to change this default amount of 200? The users want a higher number (eg. 500) as a default in this "Restrict Hits to" field.

Hi All,
When I am trying to log in through SAP Easy Document Management, the log in is successful but SAP Layout icons is not displayed in windows explorer. Even for the first time it didn't ask to create a Public folder & Private folder, when I logged on to SAP Easy Document Management.

We're using the function cl_rmps_general_functions=>create_dark to create incoming post from a local program.
When the program was run on our system ECC6 EHP6 SP04.
The incoming post was created the property SRM_DOCUMENT_ID was set according to the rule specified in the custo. When we open the incoming post through transaction SCASEPS, we hade the document ID displayed
After the upgrade to ECC6 EHP6 SP09.
The document is created, SRM_DOCUMENT_ID is mentionned as property. (it is set in the code, the attribute change value is recorded in the table SRMPROTOCOL). But, when we open the incoming post with transaction SCASEPS the document id is equal to [...]
Does anyone have already encountered this problem?
I already checked for sap notes, without success.

We have activated the workflow notifications in the new ECM . They're Workflow WS04000022-ECM_SUBMIT and Workflow WS04000023-ECM_APPROVE. For some reason, the workflow is not triggering an event when the compensation plan is submitted for an Employee. The configuration for the user interface settings is complete. In the attributes for planning overview configuration task, the enable approval process and send notifications items in V_T71ADM26 is checked also. Any ideas why this workflow is not triggered?
I am not sure if there any configuration needs to be done in UWL

I am working on an ERP 6.0 system that has a working DMS system along with it. I am using MAXDB 7.6 for my DMS system.
The current external content server is a physical machine. I took a snapshot from this physical machine, and created a new virtual machine from it.
What I need to do now is to assign this new virtual machine as an external content server instead of the current physical machine.
I started working on OAC0 to edit the current content repository, and changed only the current HTTP Server IP from my old physical machine to the new http server of the virtual machine which should be the exact image as my old content server.
Is changing the HTTP Server is the only thing I need to change to switch from my old content server to the new content server taking into consideration that my new virtual machine is an exact image of the old content server.

I am working on a implementation project for SAP VIM by OpenText. This solution normally involves scanning clients which are doing the transferring of the scanned invoices to the content repository. OpenText normally uses Enterprise Scan, which will require manual indexing of the relative information (i.e. company code, scan codes, etc.). The client doesn't want to do the manual indexing and they require that the invoices will just be fed to the scanner and it will automatically go to the content repository.
I just like to know if there is such a way to meet the client's requirements. They are saying that for other businesses using SAP, it is something possible. Please let me know your comments on this. Thanks!

Whether it is BASIS Administrator or it should be done by DMS Functional consultant? I need this information as I am a DMS functional consulatnt & I am not much sure how to do this configuration of DMS server.
