Hi experts

I am installing VIM ( Vendor Invoice Managemnt ) with Opentext Imaging Enterprise Scan 10.2 and trying to connect with SAP Content Server 6.4 , My understanding , I need to install opentext document pipeline  to connect sap content server from Enterprise Scan, just wondering which configuration to choose from the following from the admin doc "OpenText Imaging Enterprise Scan 10.2.0 - User and Administration Guide English (CLES100200-UGD-EN-3)"

1. Configuring Content Server Archiving Scenario - chapter 11.1.1 - when it says content server , is it generic or Opentext Content Server ?
or
2.Configuring SAP Indexing and Archiving Scenario ( needs OpenText Document Pipeline for SAP® Solutions ) - chapter 11.1.2

any response or suggestion  will be appreciated

Thanks

Compatability of SAP Content Server 6.50 on Windows 2008 server

Hi Gurus,

I have a content server 6.40 currently running on Win 2003. As Windows 2003 Server is going out of support from Q2 2015, we had a requirement to migrate our content server on to Win 2008 with installation of latest available version 6.50

Can someone help me about the notes which specifies the pre-requisite checks/compatibility of CS 6.50 with Win 2008 and also the link to installation guide for CS 6.50 on Win 2008

Thanks,

Venkat

Content Server 6.50 Cache Server Test URL returns blank page

Hi,

I am migrating from 32-bit 6.40 Content Server on MaxDB 7.5.00.51 (source) to 64-bit 6.50 Content Server on MaxDB 7.9.08.23. (target) using MaxDB Database Studio 7.9.08.27 to create backups on the source server and execute recoveries on the target server.

SAP Hostagent SAPHOSTAGENT203_203-20005735.SAR has been installed. SAP Note 2028088 for IIS roles has been installed. SAP Note 684106 has been applied (r3dllinst and vcredist) and MSVCR71.DLL has been applied. Ports 1090 and 1095 are open on the internal network for this server and the local system firewall has been disabled on the target server.

When I call the test url for the newly installed content server I receive the following:

serverType="SAP HTTP Content Server";serverVendorId="Copyright SAP AG, All rights reserved 1998, 2001";serverPatch="0";serverStatus="running";serverStatusDescription="";serverDate="2015-02-10";serverTime="16:07:14";startUpDate="2015-02-10";startUpTime="10:58:13";lastAccessDate="2015-02-10";lastAccessTime="16:04:28";

However, when I call the test url for the cache server, I receive a blank page.

When I test the connection in IIS server (Sites: SAP Cache Server: Basic Settings: Test Settings) I receive and authorization error: Cannot verify access to path (C:\Program Files\SAP\CacheServer). Details are:

"The server is configured to use pass-through authentication with a built-in account to access the specified

physical path. However, IIS Manager cannot verify whether the built-in account has access. Make sure that the

application pool identity has Read access to the physical path. If this server is joined to a domain, and the

application pool identity is NetworkService or LocalSystem, verify that <domain>\<computer_name>$ has Read access

to the physical path. Then test these settings again."

The permissions for the files and directories in the path are the same as for the Content Server dll.

Please advise as to whether this is an issue, or can be ignored

Cache server backup has been successfully restored. I am waiting on file transfer for the Content Server SDB restore.

Many thanks in advance for any information.

PS. Just checked the same settings for Content Server in IIS and I think the IIS Authorization error might be a red herring. Doesn't change the issue of getting a blank page in response to calling the Cache Server test url.

Connect Error: NiHostToAddr ftp error: NIEHOST_UNKNOWN

We're having an IXOS upgrade and we have to change the server name in the content repository but we're encountering below issue during archiving:

Connect Error: NiHostToAddr ftp error: NIEHOST_UNKNOWN

In CSADMIN the content repository is in red status. How can this be set to green? If we revert the change, the content repository also in green status. So this is only being encountered when the HTTP server was changed to the new server.

Here's the screenshot in CCMS:

But the connection test in OAC0 is working successfully.

Mass upload of documents under SAP Record Mangement (DPF)

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement of mass upload of files into DPF.

We need to pick the files from a given Unix location and create the records in employees DPF.

I am aware of the solution of creating archieve links and link them to DPF.

However, our requirement is to store documents in SAP RM under the same repository where the files in DPF gets stored.

As far as I know, only records from HCM process and forms sits in SAP RM.

I Also tried Creating the document and linking them to record. But could not execute the FM SRM_DOCUMENT_CHECKIN_VIA_TAB.

My question to the forum is, whether such requirement is feasible to map using custom code?

Please help!

Regards,

Mukesh
