ContentServer: can´t upload Large objects

Hi Experts,

 

I have aproblem withmyCRM systemwhen tryingto upload filesmore than40mb through thetransaction SCASE, it showsthe following errorwithout furtherinformation"Operationisnot allowed(CRM_P_CASE)"

Something strangeis that this erroronly appears inourdevelopmentand productionsystem. The quality systemcan uploadfiles larger than80mb with no problem

CV01N document status "released" but red traffic light icon

Hi,

 

I created  an attachement for the vendor master and selected the status "released".

 

My expectation was that the red icon symbol of the "document data" view, became green but it wouldn't work.

What is the customizing path to fix this issue so that red icon will become green when document status will be released ?

Issue with Adminsecurity=1

Hello

 

The SAP Content server installation and content repository creation in SAP has been done in our sandbox system. The connectivity test from SAP to SAP content server is also Good. I have used the Filesystem as the storage type.

 

When tried to add security to it by activating the below fields in cs.conf, I am unable to login with 'sapcs' user in SAP whenever I login to CSADMIN. It says "HTTP error: 401 Authorization Required  Bad local password for user sapcs"

 

AdminSecurity=1

AdminSecurityGroup=sapsys

 

I checked that the user 'sapcs' is part of /etc/passwd file and it also is a member of 'sapsys' group, but login still fails with the same error. Can someone help here?

SAP DMS Configuration - Change Content Server

Hello Everyone;

 

I am working on an ERP 6.0 system that has a working DMS system along with it. I am using MAXDB 7.6 for my DMS system.

 

The current external content server is a physical machine. I took a snapshot from this physical machine, and created a new virtual machine from it.

 

What I need to do now is to assign this new virtual machine as an external content server instead of the current physical machine.

 

I started working on OAC0 to edit the current content repository, and changed only the current HTTP Server IP from my old physical machine to the new http server of the virtual machine which should be the exact image as my old content server.

 

Is changing the HTTP Server is the only thing I need to change to switch from my old content server to the new content server taking into consideration that my new virtual machine is an exact image of the old content server.

Cannot print HR docs using Windows photo viewer

Hello


 

We migrated all the HR documents from Documentum to SAP Content server. Our content server is using Archive link as the type. We are able to open the documents from PA20, which opens with Windows photo viewer. But we are unable to print from wondows photo viewer.

 

The error says "Windows can't find this picture. Check the location and try again".

 

When the document was on documentum, we were able to print them after displaying through PA20. Can you please help.

Error retrieving manual attachments from SOFFDB

I created a new HTTP content server that uses Archive link. So all the scanned documents are getting saved in content server which is fine.

But when I switch SOFFDB repository from SAP Database to point to HTTP Content repository, the new documents that are manually attached after the switch are able to be viewed properly.

 

The old documents that were previously on SAP database, when tried to open now throws an error "Database error for <GET DATA FROM KPRO> <>"

 

This error is definitely because of the switch to new content server. My question is

 

1) Do I need to migrate all the documents from SAP Database to HTTP Content server before switching SOFFDB to content server?

 

2) Where do I find the path of the documents. I just see them in SOOD table and from the configuration in OAC0, I could see that the physical path is mentioned as /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/, but could not find the documents at that location. What is the physical location of the documents that go through SOFFDB (and on SAP database).

How to archive non SAP documents using open text

Hello Experts,

 

Greetings, I have a requirement to archive the non SAP documents like E-mail, scanned document and scanned images using the open text.

This is something new for me and as well as for my customer.

At this moment the current system is completely manual the letters or emails (both inbound and outbound) are stored in paper based system. They want to change this system by using the open text.

 

Scenario may be like this for a business partner there will be lot of Inbound and Outbound communications happening, all these communications should be stored in Open text (or equivalent storage using Open text) and the link should be stored against the business partner.

 

I have few questions regarding this.

 

1. Which team will take care of the integration of Open text with SAP?

2. Once the Open text is integrated with SAP how can I archive the non SAP documents through Open text? (Just an overview or Step by Step procedure will help me)

 

[If this question in posted in wrong discussion forum, please forgive me and advise me the right forum]

I have configured for attaching documents in CV01N for Purchase order (EKPO).

After attaching the document can I see the document in ME23N GOS button? Because I am able to navigate through PO number in CV04

but not able to view the document in ME23N GOS. Please Help.

Is there a possibility of scanning vendor invoices directly to the content repository?

Hi guys,

 

I am working on a implementation project for SAP VIM by OpenText. This solution normally involves scanning clients which are doing the transferring of the scanned invoices to the content repository. OpenText normally uses Enterprise Scan, which will require manual indexing of the relative information (i.e. company code, scan codes, etc.). The client doesn't want to do the manual indexing and they require that the invoices will just be fed to the scanner and it will automatically go to the content repository.

 

I just like to know if there is such a way to meet the client's requirements. They are saying that for other businesses using SAP, it is something possible. Please let me know your comments on this. Thanks!

Could any one explain me who is responsible person for the configuartion of Content Repository & Content server Administration i.e. /OAC0 Transaction in IMG?

 

Whether it is BASIS Administrator or it should be done by DMS Functional consultant? I need this information as I am a DMS functional consulatnt & I am not much sure how to do this configuration of DMS server.

Unable to upload originals from Application server

Hi,

 

I am trying to upload original files from the application server to the dms. It is giving me an error message with id 26 and number 128 stating that error uploading file. I have selected 'SAP-SYSTEM' as the storage category. However, I am able to upload original files from the front end to the DMS without any issue. In order to upload file from application server, I have written the code as below.

SAP shortcut to the current document version through CV03n or CV04n

Hi,

    We recently migrated our documents from an external content location into the SAP content server.   Previously we had link to the documents which would return the latest released version through a custom web interface.  I am trying to reconfigure this interface, or replace it by using SAP shortcuts since the actual URL to the original of a document seems to be impossible to get to and use without WebDynPro.  Anyways, This particular *.sap shortcut file takes me directly into the specified document record through CV03n when coded like this:

Is there a way to change the command to use CV04N instead and then execute the search in CV04n to show me the "Document List After Selection"?  If I replace CV03n with CV04n in the above code it doesn't work as I expect it to.  Any help or pointers on how I can code shortcuts like this is appreciated.

Attachments in FB03 with SOFFDB

Hello

 

I installed a content server at UNIX level and configured Archive link with HTTP Content server. Then I switched the content repository 'SOFFDB' in OAC0 from System Database to the 'HTTP Content server' and the connection is fine. Later I was able to attach a pdf from FB03 and could see it in my Content repository too.

 

Now I would like to have a new content repository created in OAC0 which is a copy of SOFFDB and when I attach any pdf's from FB03, it should be using the new content repository. But I am unable to find out where FB03 attachments are configured to be stored in SOFFDB.

 

Normally all the archive link repositories will be updated in OAC3 where I can change, but SOFFDB is not updated there as it is not archive link based.

Where else can I look for FB03 attachments pointing to SOFFDB which can be changed to my newly created content repository.

 

Currently I have changed SOFFDB to point to my content server, but I would like to have FB03 attachments use my new content server.

Latest Version Only should appear in CV04N Report

Hi Friends,

 

Actually I am a PS consultant first time I am working on this DMS,

Here my client requirement is if the document is going for 3 or 4 revisions when we open the CV04N report generally it will show all the versions which has been done but, they want only latest version should appear in report.

Suppose one user creating one document at one time after on month the person will go for next version like that he/she will do for some times after words the person does not know that he is in which version in this case their is no option to give latest version no. in filter field in CV04N so, this time if they execute latest no. has to come.

Can any body suggest me the way please..

How to restrict users uploading document during creation of PR/PO.

Hello Friends,

 

I have one question possibly related to GOS. How to restrict users uploading document during creation of PR/PO.

Presently users are able to upload using this option which is getting stored in SAP Server and it is required to stop this and allow users only to link the document to PR/PO and not allow to upload in PR/PO only.

Hi All,

 

I am working on a solution to use ECM for file maintenance in BPM. Using APIs, i could maintain documents.

However, I would like to know if there is any standard UI available for ECM wherein we can view the contents in files/folder form and configure permissions on it. (More like Knowledge management in Portal.)

Create and Change Folders Management Records with SECATT

Hello,

 

I want to create automatically SAP Folders Management records, that works, but if I want to use Buttons within the records we became the error

"Screen Check Error: Expected Transaction: ...., Actual Transaction: ..., Expected Program: SAPLZ..._DIALOG, Actual Program: SAPLSRMCLFRM2. Expected Screen Number: 100.

The problem is that when a button is started, first programm SAPLSRMCLFRM2 with Module user_command_0100 and CL_GUITOOLBAR with method dispatch is starting before the real method/function of the button will start.

 

Has anyone a solution for this?
