Enterprise scan functionality of scripting

Hi Guys,

 

I have an requirement where after scanning through enterprise scan, i need to classify the documents based on profiles, say i have two profiles PO and Non PO.

So, after scanning, PO Profile should export the files to PO folder in file system and Non PO Profile should export the files to NPO folder created in file system

 

I could not see about configuration in the document to achieve the same. But could analyze that it can be done through scripting.

 

Can anyone help me on this that how can i do scripting or is there any other way of achieving this requirement.

Sap archiving

Hi,

 

I have to run an archiving process to our database that is running on IBM as400 (DB2/400 V7R1), I did some test (trying to extract the data to a windows file server but this procedure not work.

I have some experience doing this in a windows environment (sap on windows)

So, can someone have the same experience in a db2/400 ?

or do I need to install a content server to store the data?

New Folder is not reflecting in the existing records in RMS

Hi,

This is regarding the RMS folder structure.

 

We have created a record model sometime back, and we have added the records . Now we added a new folder into the existing record model and we did it in the same version. But now when we check the folder structure for the existing records we are not able to see the newly added folder . Please let me know, if we need to carry out anything to reflect the new folders in the existing records.

error during STORE job

Hello Experts,

We are getting below error when a job runs to archive objects on a SAP system with OpenText content server as external storage. Could you please advise. The OAC0 configuration and connection test is fine. However the storage type configuration is OAC0 for the content repository is "HTTP Content Server" and not "RFC Archive". Is the error because of this as when configured as RFC archive we have the setting to include RFC destination.

 

Job Started
Step 001 started (program RSARCH_STORE_FILE, variant , user ID *****)
Archive file 000733-001BWORIA-AE2 is being processed
RFC destination SAPHTTPA could not be created
Archive file 000733-001BWORIA-AE2 cannot be stored

Mass Downloading of PDF from SAP Content Server

Hi Friends,

 

 

I have a question which you might be able to help with. It's to do with extracting PDF files from a Max DB - Content Server.


On our current SAP system, our invoices are stored on a content server and I was keen to understand if there would be a way of mass downloading the PDF's instead of the alternative which would be clicking into each individual invoice in the front end and downloading this way.

SAP DMS Configuration - Change Content Server

Hello Everyone;

 

I am working on an ERP 6.0 system that has a working DMS system along with it. I am using MAXDB 7.6 for my DMS system.

 

The current external content server is a physical machine. I took a snapshot from this physical machine, and created a new virtual machine from it.

 

What I need to do now is to assign this new virtual machine as an external content server instead of the current physical machine.

 

I started working on OAC0 to edit the current content repository, and changed only the current HTTP Server IP from my old physical machine to the new http server of the virtual machine which should be the exact image as my old content server.

 

Is changing the HTTP Server is the only thing I need to change to switch from my old content server to the new content server taking into consideration that my new virtual machine is an exact image of the old content server.

Open text CS not logging in

Hi All,

 

we have installed Open Text Content Server 10.0 and Archive Server 10.0

Installation completed successfully

 

when we try to login to Open text using Administration client with Otadmin / <password> it says time out

we have using port 8080 in properties

 

further in All Programs>Open text CS>Content Server Administration it is giving HTTP Response 404

 

Please let me know where to see the logs or any setting to be done after installation.

Budget Numbers Not Showing up (CUSTOM IMPORT)

Dear Experts,

 

When I execute T-code PECM_START_BDG_BSP and I click on budget maintenance and try hitting "CUSTOM IMPORT" i am unable to see any dollar amounts in front of the budget. Does anyone know what the reason might be? Speedy responses would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Defualt ECM files under Root Node

Hi ECM Experts

 

Can any one explain what are the files exists under default/ecm. ( Related to server SAP NW 7.3 EHP1 )

 

We see only one file that is ".~system~" under root "/" ( this forward slash seems like a default root for ecm) what is the use of the file ".~system~"

 

We would like to remove/delete this file from this root folder. As we would like to use this default ecm for storing our required files.

 

Why we are planing to delete file ".~system~" from root folder - we will be giving access to Module lead - a user to monitor the files created and remove the unnecessary files. If by any chance this user delete this file what will be the consequences and how to recover it back.

 

Kindly provide your necessary information asap so that we can make up quick decision.

Changing the Content Repository of RMS ID ASR_POBJ

Hi All,

 

 

 

I am having a requirement to change the content repository for the RMS ID ASR_POBJ(HR Administrative Services) which is available in case management(SCASE). At present the ASR_POBJ is uisng the Content Repository SRM_DB_UT which is pointing to documentum.But here we have to change the Content Repository pointing to RMS. As per my understanding, since the same Content Repository is used by other applications, we cannot change the Content Repository SRM_DB_UT(HTTP Server).

So please let me know whether we can create a new Content Repository and assign it to the RMS ID ASR_POBJ?

Content Server SSL - SSL Connect failed - Connection not possible with HTTPS

Facing to following problem:

 

IPs and names replaced with X.

 

I had to change the connection to content server to HTTPS. In IIS everything seems fine and the following page can be displayed:

Now to sap. There I wanted to change the repository to HTTPS and changed the SSL Port to 1092 and then following error is displayed:

Inspection plan in object links for dms

Dear PP Gurus,

  Could someone please help me in achieving below scenario in SAP please.

  SAP provides the facility to add object links (e.g. to material master, vendor master, equipment master etc) from the document management system.

The client is looking to add Inspection Plan in the Object Links in the Document Management System (transaction CV01N).

Has anyone done this? Any documentation would be helpful.

Please suggest me how to map this scenario in SAP - Thanks!

How to archive non SAP documents using open text

Hello Experts,

 

Greetings, I have a requirement to archive the non SAP documents like E-mail, scanned document and scanned images using the open text.

This is something new for me and as well as for my customer.

At this moment the current system is completely manual the letters or emails (both inbound and outbound) are stored in paper based system. They want to change this system by using the open text.

 

Scenario may be like this for a business partner there will be lot of Inbound and Outbound communications happening, all these communications should be stored in Open text (or equivalent storage using Open text) and the link should be stored against the business partner.

 

I have few questions regarding this.

 

1. Which team will take care of the integration of Open text with SAP?

2. Once the Open text is integrated with SAP how can I archive the non SAP documents through Open text? (Just an overview or Step by Step procedure will help me)

SAP VIM by OpenText

Hope you are doing fine while reading this email.

 

I am working now as an SAP VIM Consultant and I am currently working on a project that plans to take advantage of the VIM Solution by OpenText. As I know that you are the expert on this, it will be highly appreciated if you can provide your comments/references on the following:

 

1. Based on the last discussion that I had before with a Senior OpenText Consultant, ICC requires an invoice template for the automatic invoice field recognition to work properly. Is this still the case or has OpenText moved away with the template thing?

 

2. This will be dependent on the answer for the first question. If ICC still requires templates, will this affect the response time of the system to do the automatic recognition of invoices? I know that this will not have an impact but I just want to make sure on this.

 

3. I have seen a phrase in the OpenText documents about 'Full-text search'. Please let me know what does this mean?

 

4. With regards to the PO/invoice approval, can OpenText VIM link it to the HCM or is it still preferred to have the approval matrix?

 

5. For FI invoices (non-PO), is there a possibility to have it scanned and be routed to ICC for automatic recognition of fields? I know that ICC is mainly used for MM invoices (PO invoices), but I am not quite sure if the functionality can be used for FI invoices (non-PO).

 

6. Is there any preferred enterprise scanner hardware? If none, what is the most commonly used?

 

I hope you can find time to answer my questions as I really need it immediately. We are also checking the other VIM solutions (Readsoft, and there is another one that starts with a 'K'). But I am pushing for OpenText.

Hello All,

 

Could any one explain me who is responsible person for the configuartion of Content Repository & Content server Administration i.e. /OAC0 Transaction in IMG?

 

Whether it is BASIS Administrator or it should be done by DMS Functional consultant? I need this information as I am a DMS functional consulatnt & I am not much sure how to do this configuration of DMS server.

Hi I am trying to import license for the portal, and I am getting error.

so i did some research and tried to do follow the note     662340 - SSF Encryption Using the SAPCryptolib

, but realized that the steps are rathering confusing.

I am confused at the part

Configuring Application-Specific Settings

Not sure what I am supposed to achieve or do there?

However, i can see many methods available in the market and i am confused with all the blogs . could you please provide the difference between content server, Archive server & DMS . Also provide the role of opentext in configuring such server .

Error while Resetting SAP Note implementation

I have implemented SAP Note 1635383 and now I want to deimplement this note. But I am getting 'Enter a valid attribute, use the input help' error while clicking on Reset SAP Note Implementation. Any one please help on the same.
