This is in context of a scenario encountered during implemenation of Opentext VIM.
Vendor invoices are received through email and fax.
(ii) There are instances where there are more than one pages in an invoice (called as patch pages)
I want to know how are such invoices handled in Opentext VIM? Any input to this will be much appreciated.

im new to Records management (folders management) but still i managed to create RMS with other structure elements to be able to create Digital personnel records for every employee in my organization.
The issue now that im facing is regarding transaction ORGANIZER.
When i want to add a file from specific location there is a button "application" (right side), which by clicking on it opens new window with following options
MS Word, MS Powepoint, MS Excel, From file
Now i want to add another option "From Scanner", which should triger a program and open TWAIN driver based scanning.
Has anybody face similar problem by adding another option or scanning document directly to ORGANIZER (Record management)?

Hello,
I have installed SAP Extended ECM 10.5 Opentext with MSSQL database for SAP suite. As per the installation guide I have installed Archive and Content server. But I am facing problem to setup the repository in ECC server which connect to Opentext server.
In OAC0 transaction, what parameters value have to be given to setup up repository ??
As per guide I have created a logical archive as "A1" in client Administration, but I don't know how to use it in ECC system ?
I need to know what values have to be assign here to create A1 repository?
Also when I click in Protocol tab, no values are found. As per the installation guide two protocols must be shown here. I have properly run the setup but strange to see the no values in protocol tab.

Please Please consider the following questions:
• Survey of the system requirements necessary for activation of this module in SAP (eg which version / SP level is required);
• As the communication between SAP and OpenText is performed through this module;
• What kind of features are available between SAP ECM and Open Text.
This is a feature that I wish to implement and I am having some difficulty finding this information. Please share with me your knowledge about this theme.

I have a content server 6.40 currently running on Win 2003. As Windows 2003 Server is going out of support from Q2 2015, we had a requirement to migrate our content server on to Win 2008 with installation of latest available version 6.50
Can someone help me about the notes which specifies the pre-requisite checks/compatibility of CS 6.50 with Win 2008 and also the link to installation guide for CS 6.50 on Win 2008

I am facing an intermittent error :
Exception during creation of the ECM Connection java.lang.IllegalStateException: No result found from folder creation command
My scenario is :
I have created a Mail Job in which mails are read from particular email id.
The attachments are stored in the ECM.
The repository for the ECM has been created.
The connection works fine for some attachments , but suddenly for some atttachments get the following error:
Error fetching children.
Exception: class java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method java.util.List.size() of a null object loaded from local variable 'childInfos'

I have installed SAP content server 6.5 with the database MaxDB 7.9.
1. Now i want to take a backup of data and log files of MaxDB database. So please anyone suggest me how to proceed further for backup strategy. If there needs to be any third party backup tools required for backup strategy please mention that and let me know how to integrate that tool with the MaxDB database.
2. And also anyone suggest me how to setup a DR(Disaster Recovery) site for SAP Conetnt server 6.5

I have a customer who is keen to confirm if SAP ECM will support some very specific requirements. Any input would be valuable.
First though would I be right in saying any ECM system is a combination of component from SAP such as:
Now on to some specific capability questions - can anyone advise if a SAP ECM setup can support, pretty much out-of-the-box:
I was able to answer all other questions definitively but on these, though I think SAP solutions support them - I'm not 100% certain they are good at supporting these requirements out-of-the-box.

I'm looking at documentation (Configuring the ECM Infrastructure (ECMI) - Configuring Composition Environment Platform - SAP Library) about ECM Infrastructure on Netweaver Java stack.
Still there's something unclear to me:
Is ECM a real SAP Product or just a standard (like CMIS)?
Does the ECMI on NW Java involve some actual physical storage for files or is it just the adapter/connector to a third-party solution?

I am working on a implementation project for SAP VIM by OpenText.This solution normally involves about the vendor invoice management.
here the process is first,we scan the invoice document then it is stored in archive server. by using ICC it extracts and validates the invoice data.
then approval workflow will start if there are no errors in invoice data.
Here we are using enterprise scanner.
my requirement is
If a company has different plants or different locations, then how to know who scanned the
document? and what are the document numbers that are scanned by a particular scanner?
from where he is scanning?
Is there any report to check for it?
Can anyone please help me out of this.
